Bone Broth Hot Chocolate

  • Author: Jasmine B.
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of high-quality bone broth (chicken or beef)
  • ½ cup of milk (regular or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder
  • 12 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey
  • 1 scoop of collagen powder (optional for extra protein)
  • A pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract for added flavor
  • Whipped cream or marshmallows for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the liquids – In a small saucepan, pour the bone broth and milk. Warm over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to steam but does not boil.
  2. Mix in the cacao and sweetener – Add the raw cacao powder and maple syrup (or honey).
  3. Whisk continuously to prevent clumps and ensure a smooth texture.
  4. Blend for extra frothiness (optional) – For a creamy and airy texture, use an immersion blender or transfer the mixture to a regular blender. Blend for a few seconds until frothy.
  5. Pour and serve – Carefully pour the bone broth hot chocolate into a mug. If desired, top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium bone broth for better flavor balance.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey or maple syrup.
  • For an extra-rich texture, opt for full-fat coconut milk.
  • Enhance the flavor with a dash of peppermint extract for a festive twist!
